About Us

The Ranch

The origins of the ranch go back almost 100 years - 1925 - when our great-great grandfather, William Hosea Fisher, moved to Oklahoma from rural Van Zandt county, Texas. William was a poor share cropper, looking to get his start in farming and ranching. Oklahoma offered those opportunities in what was known as Indian Territory, specifically in souther Seminole County and Southeastern McClain County. William farmed in both Hazel (Seminole County) and Byars (McClain County). After his eldest daughter graduated from Byars, William decided to settle for good in Hazel and begin expanding his operation.

Fast forward several decades and Circle H Beefmasters was established in 1996 when Brett was 13 years old. His grandfather, Burnus Fisher of Circle F Beefmasters helped Brett get into the cattle business through the JBBA program, showing Circle F Beefmaster calves. As Brett began showing, his love for the breed and the cattle business grew exponentially.

Of all the many Circle F Ranch calves Brett showed, he was allowed to keep one of his show calves, Circle F 7/2 "Foxy Girl." This heifer allowed for Brett to purchase cattle on his own and make his start while still in high school. After college, Brett and his grandfather decided to make a substantial change in their breeding program and made the decision to invest in Foundation Beefmaster genetics through the Dale Lasater Ranch Annual Bull Sale. With the first bulls purchased, they looked south to the Casey Beefmaster Ranch in Albany, Texas and made a purchase of 10 Casey heifers & cows along with the Casey 4-42 herd sire.

These investments in Foundation cattle have made the ranch what it has become today. A ranch focused on demanding the Six Essentials from our cow herd, nothing more, nothing less. Through ruthless culling and a strict emphasis on ensuring that our cows work for us, not the other way around, we have created a herd that is a true "Cattleman's" herd. On our ranch, there are no "Cowboys" rather, "Cowmen" that know and understand what it takes to make a cow herd profitable.

The Ranch is now ran by Brett and Jaxon, his wife Stevy and their other children: Cade and Sophie. Everyone chips in, in some way, and we work everyday to make sure that our cows not only meet our demands, but that if you take a Circle H heifer, cow or bull home with you, that they will WORK FOR YOU. With almost 100 years of hard work and dedication to the agriculture and cattle industry, be confident that our family operation is striving to produce the best animal possible for you to take home to your herd!
